Palinuro
Palinuro is one of those places that have always fascinated travelers of all ages.
The rocky promontory stretched out in the sea with its beauty, but also with its dangers for the ancient sailors, inspired the poet Virgil the passage of the Aeneid in which he narrates the death of Aeneas' helmsman, Palinuro, from whom the city of Cilento it takes its name. Palinuro extends with its characteristic promontory, on one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Mediterranean.

A few minutes away, you can visit the Certosa di San Lorenzo, recognized in 1998 as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also known as the Certosa di Padula, which is certainly one of the most beautiful places in the province of Salerno
Scavi di Velia
The excavations of Velia in Ascea Marina, are located between Agropoli and Palinuro. The ancient city of Elea founded around 540 BC from a group of Greeks. The archaeological itinerary starts from the lower town, where most of the buildings date back to the Hellenistic and Roman periods. You can visit the Terme Adriane of the second century. d.C., where you can see various rooms decorated with beautiful mosaics and a theater built in Roman times on the remains of an ancient Greek temple.

Caves of
The Pertosa-Auletta caves are a complex of karst cavities of tourist importance, located in the municipality of Pertosa. The karst complex develops in the basement of the neighboring municipalities of Auletta and Polla, at 263 m asl, along the left bank of the Tanagro river.
